Wonder Woman 2016

One of my client's had a great idea to create a Wonder Woman photo-shoot theme and he used his model girlfriend Johanna Torres from Cali Colombia for this concept.

She was perfect, because she had all the beauty and charisma qualities that it requires to do this type of shoot.

First we started off in the studio.  I had a vision to use colored gels in this part of the shoot because I thought it would be cool to have a burst of light coming from behind and I had seen Lindsay Adler (photographer) use the water sprays as well and I said, why not? Let me give it a shot!  After a few tries and messing with the light's we finally figured out the lighting.  Thanks to my assistants, Abe and Arturo who helped with setting up the lights.

Technical

4 Lights used: 2 speed lights with snoots, a beauty dish for main light and a background flash light with cyan colored gel.

All lights were slaved so they can go on at the same time.

MAKE-UP INSPIRATION

I always look online / pinterest for make-up and hair inspiration so I can show my make-up artist and hairstylist how I want client's look to be.

WHITE BACKGROUND IN STUDIO

Here I just wanted a clean white background so the colors can pop more.

I used one BIG SOFT BOX for the main light, and two background lights to blow out the white background.

Then I decided to go to Downtown LA to have different options.
